It seems to be “a thing.” More running books and articles feature running past fifty with every passing year. I guess it makes sense. As Boomers pass milestone birthdays, we who have always worshipped youth intend to take it with us.
Seven years ago, my hometown club, Run Wild Missoula (RWM), expanded its horizons. In addition to a popular marathon/half training class for runners and one for walkers, the club offered a third option. A training program designed by Olympian Jeff Galloway, featuring his trademarked run-walk-run® approach, appeared on the calendar.
